Do You Know What It Feels Like?

…to have no reason to awaken each day?

…to witness the war between your heart and mind, yet feel powerless to resolve the conflict?

…to never be chosen the way you have chosen others?

…to watch other people be chosen? There is a particular pain that shoots through your heart center each time.

…to give so much to someone who weaponizes your love, your effort, and your energy until it is enough to destroy you? Can you imagine what it takes to heal that wound?

…to struggle while trying to accomplish your goals because you do not have support from anyone at all?

…to be capable of greatness and have insecure people actively sabotage the opportunities that could have changed your life?

…to give so much of yourself to others and receive little or nothing from anyone during your darkest moments?

…to explain your emotions to people who should care, but do not?

…to be wrongly judged simply because of your physical appearance?

…to lose yourself completely, and the warfare it takes to reclaim yourself?

…to never feel safe in the world? To understand what it takes for your mind and nervous system to believe you are safe once you begin to believe it yourself?

…when someone knows your wounds and decides to make them deeper instead of helping them close?

…to know on a profound level that you are capable of being and doing more than you have yet, your soul is so exhausted you can barely get out of bed most days?

…to close your heart completely because you cannot imagine another way to finally protect yourself?

…to always come so close, so very close, but never close that final gap?

…to learn that loyalty has an expiration date you were never made aware of?
